Hi guys (incl. gals)
I have a problem to get my brakelights working. I have checked the
lamps =3D OK, the fuses =3D OK, taken out the switch under the master
cylinder =3D seems OK, but what do I know?, connected the cables to
the switch to copy the switch closing mode, and hope for a bright red
light behind, but nothing helps.
Where do I look next?
>>>Question: do your taillights/turn signals work? If not, then
perhaps you've got a problem in the connector that attaches the rear
portion of the wiring harness to the main harness. This connector is
basically located near the water tanks on the right side of the car.
Separate the two halves and make sure all contacts are clean and spiffy.
You have an 84 car right? Does that have the same brake pressure switch
in the brass junction block that the earlier cars have? That switch is
notoriously bad.
Other than that, I'm stumped. I'm an electrical idiot, I'm afraid...
Mike
