Reply-To: pim@flash. Dear Dave, We have been studying the issue of your
disatisfaction with the rear wheels that you purchased from us. Although we
can appreciate the fact that they are unacceptable, we cannot make an
adjustment. Part of the problem is that the supplier will not accept
returns. We had asked Mr. Wilkinson to take the wheels back in once he had
another customer who wanted that size. To date, no reply there. Further,
the amount of discrepancy is very small and we were not aware that your car
came with JFZ brakes at the time the order was placed, which is probably
causing the offset that is objected to. If these wheels had been of our
manufacture, we could easily exchange them for a more precise fit. I am
sorry that we cannot act any further on this order. Cordially, Jerry and
Rodney PI Motorsports, Inc.

> Hi Everyone;I read with interest the lists responses to Shane's problem of
having to pay return shipping on the seatbelts he didn't order.I have a
similar problem but it cost me close to $3000!The above was the reply I
received to my inquiry.
> First off let me say that I ordered the wheels and the brakes at the same
time from these people (they were Willwoods not JFZ)When I ordered them I
specifically told Jerry that an additional 1/4" offset was required because
of the rotor location. His reply was" no problem",several other times in
phone conversations with him I mentioned this again with him responding the
same thing. In March of '97 I went to P.I. motorsports and picked up the
brakes, the wheels weren't ready yet and again in person I mentioned to Jerry
the offset required again his reply was "no problem".They sent me the wheels
in Apr.'97 I mounted the tires and went to put them on the car they stuck
out the side!I immediately phoned P.I.motorsport and informed them of the
problem.Jerry then gave me a song and dance about not being able to change
the offset on the rear wheels. So I phoned Wilkinson and inquired about this
I was told that the fronts can't be offset differently but the rears can.I
then told them about my problem and was told that Jerry had ordered them
standard offset.I discussed this with P.I. and was told they'd look in to
it.Last August at Monteray Dave Adler assured me not to worry, that they
would take care of it.My car has been off the road for 3 years doing total
ground up.So this spring I contacted Jerry and he never replied.I then
contacted Dave Adler and his reply is above.BTW I spent $10000 at P.I.also
was a P.I. member and never received any of the so called member
discounts. This was their F#ckup and they don't want to corect it.So I say to
P.I.,PEE U.Anybody out there have any ideas?
> Yours Sincerely;Dave R
