I recently posted about installing an ammeter shunt, using a plain old
piece of strap steel. I think John or Mary Taphorn inquired as to how
the meter 'worked' while driving. Now at idle there is a swing as usual
to the right and left but only about the thickness of the needle instead
of what was just about the entire gauge face. While driving it seems to
be about rock steady. I get a momentary drop when lights, fan, etc.. are
first turned on, then back to fairly rock steady.
