Subject:Mangusta help - electronic ignition
Date: Fri, 3 Jul 1998 21:18:01 +0000

One of my holiday goals is to get this old Mangusta sitting in my driveway,
started. It has not be ran in 4 to 6 years. I did all the required
maintenance (plug, oil, water, etc) - but no spark. I am now replacing the
dual point unit with one from Hall. My question is this car has a switch
and two coils . Was that standard from the factory or an add-on. Starting
from the back of the car over lthe shock is the toggle switch, then comes a
large resistor with 4 terminals (one at each corner-two are being used),
then come the two coils, a small 2 terminal resistor is next, and then the
Lucus iginition module with one terminal on top (neg battery) and 3 on the
bottom (sw, cb, res coil). OK - what do I need and, don't need, to install
the Ford ignition module and distributor from Hall.

I would be greatful for any help.
