Paul,
Sounds to me like a loose or broken mounting bracket for the anti-roll
bar, allowing the bar to momentarily bind or shift before it moves in the
rubber mount. I assume that you liberally coated everything with a
lubricant before you started looking to make sure that it isn't just a
binding bushing.
