Just finished replacing the horns om my 72 pre L 4130.  The system that 
was on the car was a small coil sized compressor (in front of right 
front splash panel) feeding a single air horn up under the radiator 
shroud.  Sounded anemic at best (shriner bulb horn).  Replaced with two 
original equipment genuine Italian ($$) electric horns.  Located with 
bracket in front of right front splash panel.Big improvement.  The car 
now "sounds" European, maybe even Italian, definately not Buick.  I bet 
you could do the same with pep boys horns for about a forth the cost.  
Horn notes are "G" and "A".
