alternator and a/c brackets swap? What about the thermostat housing
extension
and clutch slave braket? It seems to me, that if $$ are important, it's
cheaper to stay with what's already there and rebuild it.

Dan
to all intents most people would not notice the difference between the two
motors (as has already been mentioned) However the W does not have the ugly
oil pressure switch stareing you in the face when you open the lid.
Having owned P's with both C and W engines I would still have the W . They
sound the same . The oiling system is superior on the Windsor and likewise the
cooling system which runs coolant in the manifold and certainly runs cooler
!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not come across a W with cooling problems.
Not sure about a direct swap for a/c and alternator brackets although I see
no problem as they are mounted in the same place as the C
The stat housing however looks much neater and not like an afterthought.
