Hello fellow Pantera followers,
I just joined the mail list and am looking for some help on two questions:
First the mechanical one-
I have a brake problem that I have been trying to sort out. The brakes are
very mushy even though I have bled them twice. If I pump the pedal several
times it does not build up extra pressure. Thus, when I stomp on the pedal,
the car doesn't slow like it should. I haven't driven that many Pantera's
but this seems to be really poor brake performance compared to the numerous
Porsche's I've owned. There is no leakage around the master/slave cylinder
or around any of the hose connections. Initial input is that it may be the
master/slave cylinder may be going out.
What do you recommend to rectify this situation?
2nd question-
The Pantera I own is a 72 which is red/black and was supposedly the car
used for the LA Auto Show in 72. Do you have any idea how I could verify
this?
Your input on these two queries would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Larry Webb
