mAD oNe,

IMHO, I'd limit the challenge to anything pre the 85ish era, or the second
from latest body style. (ie ZR1 body style) Not that the ZR1 is anything to
fear, but just from a general engineering standpoint. I mean sheeeit,
giving away almost 15 years of engineering time is something that leans
towards the unfair?

Start at about '63 when the plastic ones started using IRS, and end at
82...85 or whatever the newer bodystyle started in. This sort of does the
apples and apples thing rather than apples and kiwis... It also gives the
"plastic set" over 20 years to gather cars from!!!!!!! What do we get to
pick from, basically 6 years or so? SHeesh! Cheby only built a gazillion of
the damn things.... you'd think they could find 10 cars....

To load the deck with a ZR1 contingency sort of spoils the flavor of a
vintage challenge, which I think is what you were after.... I think if you
had wanted to chase ZR1's you would have bought one.... not that you
couldn't or wouldn't chase 'em anyway! :)

If they can't meet the challenge at it's face value, vintage racing, let
'em be the whiners...

So, you get a NO from me.

However, you get a YES from me to go out and run, have some fun, and kick
some plastic bum!!!!!

..... let's see... if the ZR-1's are all running in basically the same
couple of classes, 'cause their ego's won't let them NOT run against each
other to see who's car is better.... that leaves more classes for the
Pantera's to run in.... and gather more points for a challenge victory???

Steve
