Edelbrock says that the Performer manifold gives extra torque up to 5500
RPM, but they don't claim to be better than the stock manifold above that
range. According to Scott, do the Performer manifolds suck only above 5500
RPM, or do they suck all the way? If they suck all the way, that means that
half of the Pantera world has waisted money only in order to lower the
performance of the cars. Any comments on this?

As I am ignorant concerning port plates, please forgive the following very
fundamental questions: What are port plates? What do they do? How are they
mounted? What is their approximate price? If they are mounted between the
block and the manifolds (which I guess they must be), don't they compromise
the room left for the manifolds, particularly the exhaust manifolds? And
the last question: If there are different opinions about port plates,
doesn't the dyno give the final answer?
