There's another Pantera for sale in the Houston area. I went and had a look at it today. I didn't have my digital camera along, so pictures won't be ready for a day or so. I'll let y'all know when I get them developed and scanned.
Details as follows:
1971 Pantera THPNLJ02135
One owner since new
35,000 miles
Originally yellow, now red.
Paint job is poor. Lots of overspray and poor masking job
Passenger door has rust on lower rear and lower front
Small dent in fender forward of right front wheel
Left rocker panel has holes through it and starting to get real thin in most places
Driver's door has rust in lower front and lower rear, dent on upper part near window.
Left rear fender dented in around sidelight
No emblems on back except for Power by Ford on decklid
No engine cover
Right rear wheel house rusted through on lower section on outside. Has not gone through on inside and inside seems solid
Left wheelhouse seems OK
There were no holes drilled, so lots of dirt has built up inside the sections
Rear deck has filler missing between deck lid sheet metal and bracing
Right rear bumper chrome starting to peel
Front of hood rusty
Front compartment in front of battery rusted completely through
Bubbles on rear of roof in front of decklid.
Valence under radiator is dented, but seems solid
Engine is stock with what looks like a single pumper Holley 600-650
Engine runs and starts fine
Hall big bore exhaust, chrome tips
Radiator looks rebuilt with new core
Stock fans
A/C works
Tires are 225 and 275 Pirelli P7's that look in good condition
Stock 7" and 8" Campagnolos which are in good condition
Interior is stock with a couple of toggle switches mounted where the fan switch is usually. Stock seats, driver's side torn on side and seating area
Steering wheel is missing the center section
I drove it around for a little bit and it drives fine, steering solid, brakes are working well, clutch needs a little adjustment
The family is asking $16,000 for the car.
