Update #12: Space City Panteras TWS track event September 26-27
(in conjunction with the Texas World Motorsports Club)
21 days and counting...
_STILL_ waiting on Dallas/Ft. Worth guys... Is there anybody out there?
HELLO????????? Although admittedly I did get a call from the BMW club there...
Where's the _Pantera_ folks?
Some of our favorite East coast folks are confirmed to be attending! No car, but we love the support! We can't offer the Pocono Manor or the Pocono mountains, but hey... we'll try to make up for it with hospitality!
I'd like you all to notice that's Dennis Q's attendance is a done deal!!
Got the money and the Tshirt! He'll be there! Even if my car was broke, I'd still attend just to see Dennis' car! Nuff' said...
And the Mad Dog says he's gonna' do the 1500 mile thing and be here! Of course, he claims we'll all have to put little MD shrines in our houses and pray at every future meeting, but he says he's coming!
I guess he's the automatic winner of the William King West Coast Challenge?
I'm really impressed with Mike and Mad Dog... Doing Silver State and then TWS immediately after!

Send me an email or call if you want real paper docs sent to you by snail mail.
Fee: $200 for Saturday and Sunday, $100 for one day.
Please send your registration documents and payment to me at:
Kirby Schrader Home: (281) 531-8056
506 Bayou Knoll Work: (281) 285-8850
Houston, TX 77079
I'll consolidate and get it to TWS. The first guys' forms and money have been sent out as of September 1.
We had a deadline here of August 31 as the last day to get your registration in and paid, but I just talked to TWS and they said the absolute last minute to get the form and the money in is two weeks before the event with maybe _some_ grace period afterwards.... So, hey! All you procrastinators who say you're coming... Please send in your fee by at least the 11th!
Saturday evening BBQ is paid for at the event. No need to send me money for that.
Accomodation
------------
The Cedar Creek Inn in Navasota said they would give us a group rate for the event. Just tell them you're with the Pantera club
The rates are: 49.00 single or double, phone 409-825-8000
The hotel is on hwy 6. aprox. 12 miles south of the track.
It's a football weekend, so they will fill up soon. Book early!
You can also camp out in the infield at the track. There's restrooms and showers there.
Barbeque
-----------
The Saturday night BBQ at the track is $10 for all you can eat. Real Texas style stuff with three kinds of meat, those nice tasty little green thingies called jalapenos, beans, slaw, etc. :-)))
Some people asked about beer... It's not supplied by the track or the caterers.
We can bring some if we want, but only for the BBQ. Safety is still numero uno, so no alcoholic beverages during the track event or in the pits.
Common sense, right?
William King's Texas challenges have been answered by the KaLiFoRnIa dUdEs! Are they going to make it? Who's gonna' get the hat?
And who is going to claim the Eastern challenge?
Visitors
-----------
Lots of people asked about visitors. Visitors and spectators can join in for free. They do have to sign in at the gate and if names are available beforehand, it will make the process much easier. So when you send in your entry forms, make a note of who else you plan to have attending so they can have names already setup at the gate.
And to challenge all you real drivers, my boss will be there as one of the instructors with his Camaro SS. He's been turning sub 1:19's with his Camaro. For those of you who don't know TWS, that's an extremely respectable lap time on the inner course with a stock car. So much so, he's usually got the other instructors ticked off 'cause they can't catch him!
And his license plate even reads 'TWS 119'
;-)
