Have run a fluid dampener on my race car for over 5 years.
They are great.
I broke a crank 2 years ago just behind the front main. Didn't even bend a rod.

As the consensus behind this seems to be an exploding flywheel can anyone
shed some light on a a fluidampner....
This was recommended by the mechanic who set up my new Holly carb, he
suggested that if a crank bust, the cast iron flywheell was just inches from
the drivers kidneys...I have seen the fluidampners listed in US car part
adverts but I'm not if they are worth fitting.. anyone want to shed some
light on this
