Rodney and all Specialist help,
I kept your write up on your last project in case my seminar project didn't
turn out again. I having problems with my front brakes dragging and holding
after about 45 minutes of driving. They work great at first (cold?). The rear
brakes are not a problem. I rebuilt both the front and rear calipers, turned
the front rotors, new pads on the front also. I did take the master cylinder
apart to look at it and put it back together with the same parts.(didn't
believe I had a problem with it just curious).
I did bench bleed the master cylinder before putting it back on the car.
I have to date put about 3 quarts of dot fluid through the system now, trying
to get a good bleed of the system.
A weird thing that is happening is while bleeding the rear brakes, we can't
get the brake pedal to go all the way to the floor while pushing with your
feet.
I took the line loose from the differential valve and blew with air to check
for pluggage. (nothing found) Liquid will come out while bleeding but not a
whole lot.
I believe all the air is out of the system though.
Did this a couple of time and brakes still did the same thing? I just recently
took the equalizer off and took it apart (cleaned it up and put it back
together. NO LUCK STILL!!.
Your write up said you took off the stock distribution and proportional valves
and you didn't miss the parts?
My car doesn't have the vacuum storage canister, but use to have good brakes
before my current project.
What did you use to get the stop light switch in the rear brake lines?
