| Subject: | ZF's can last forever..... |

Ta All,
On the subject of ZF's, mine has almost 90,000 miles on it. Never been opened
up for any repairs internally. Gear oil changed every 12,000 miles. I am
really sure to clean out the debris on the magnetic oil drain plug also. I
drive the snot out of the car. I dump the clutch, often. I drive over 100
mph, often. It has never had anything safety wired. It has never broken,
never hiccuped or left me stranded. I think that quite possibly, I will never
have to have it serviced unless I want to. The ZF, if maintained properly,
will last longer than the car in my opinion.
I wonder if Don Mead (I believe his Pantera has over 200,000 miles on it and
counting) has ever had his out of his car. I doubt it, but it would be
interesting to find out!
