BTW, saw some interesting photos at work today.  Seems there have been several
problems with the KC-10 (military version of the MD-11, like the one that
crashed the other day.)  Hydraulic pump in the fuselage will overheat and
catch fire, and burn up a considerable bit of the airplane.  We had one do it
just a few days ago with NO indications to the crew.  They landed and went
home; next morning a new crew did a pre-flight and found extensive damage.

Apparently this has happened several times recently.  Possible cause for the
Swissair crash?
