Hi guys,

I remember reading about this about a year ago.  It's true.  This guy filed a
class-action suit against CA for over-charging on DMV fees, and the courts
found in his favor.  There's a program set up to refund people, but YOU have
to initiate it.  Check it out!

If you have access to any club publications, webpages or bulletin boards of
interest to vehicle lovers, please place this short explanation of the
California Car Tax refund opportunity there:

DMV Refunds.  You may be the current or former owner of a car, truck, etc. who
is entitled to a "car tax" refund, but you have to ask.  Generally, you have
to have purchased the vehicle before August 1991, and its registration slip or
title has to show either (a) 13, 16, 17, 23, 26, 33, 37, or 47 as the first
two characters of the "type veh" code, or (b) less than "92" as the "*yr"
designation.

For a refund, write DMV at Box 932338, Sacramento, CA 94232-3380, mention the
Woosley litigation, include make, year, license or VIN number (if you know
them) of your eligible vehicles and mention all of the years you (have) owned
the vehicle.
