Chuck,

One silver lining to all this.  You are now seriously in the running for the
prestegious PCNC Antonio Bondo award!

This perpetual trophy (a very nice diorama featuring a 1/24th scale model of a
wrecked GT/4 Pantera) is awarded at the X-mas party each year to the PCNC
member who most comprehensively screwed up his car in the previous 12 months.
Past winners have included Rich James (who had a front wheel fall off his
Mangusta while driving across Death Valley at high speed), and of course
Michael Harper (who pushed his brand-new Group 4 out of his garage, where it
proceeded to roll down his driveway and smash into the appraiser's car, who
was there to assess the value so that Michael could get insurance, which of
course he didn't have yet at the time of the accident!)
