BFG's on your car now, right? BFG bakes an all-weather H-rated 275/60 you
know; those are VERY tall, but with fuel costing as much as it does over

It does NOT look like somebody squeezed a too-large tire onto a too-small rim.
Is that what you're suggesting?
The 305/50 DOES look a little pinched on an 8-inch rim though; perhaps this is
what you saw?
If you have 10-inch rims, for the kind of driving you're doing, I think the
305/50 is by far the best of the available options, with the 275/60 as a close
second if you want the extra height for economy reasons.
I've got a USAF buddy staying with me for a few days; when he leaves here
he'll be returning home to RAF Lakenheath (about 70 miles N. of London.) If
you want specific tires (or tyres) and wanna save a bunch of money, lemme know
and I'll sort them for you, he'll hand-carry them back and you can pay him.
