Dear Mike,
Having seen & enjoyed your ramblings in our club newsletter last year or
so, hope to offer something back now after reading your letter in latest
issue.
I have been DTDC member for some years, now live in Milan Italy, have more
than a passsing interest in classic car market here.
Longtchamps like all DTs were never popular in Italy, but there is a LHD
Burgundy metallic GTS five-speeder for sale here right now. Have not been
to see it (too far for an aimless trip) but sounds fair and its less than
18 thousand dollars asking price - don't get too excited, the never move
very far on price over here.
If this beast really interests you (the only other I know of on offer is u=
p
for an excessive $33,000 - dream on!) then give me a call.
Alternatively, there is a Mangusta, solid, original for $38000 and a
factory '84 GT5 Pantera for the same.
That's about the sum total of cars on offer in Italy. None are curently
advertised publicly.
In case your server is strange my address is drjames@compuserve.com
My own car is Pantera 9388, RHD GT5S. Second Pantera. I was the guy who
went to Stauffer's, saw an EPA & DOT legalised GT5 and took it back to
Europe! the story is true.
Regards,
James Abbott
