from the RX-7 list.

The post reads:

This year Team Pantera issued a challenge to other car clubs to start and
finish at least 10 cars of the same marque.  Their challenge was answered
by two Vette clubs, a Mustang club, and a Viper club.  They somehow scored
each team on accuracy and awarded all 5 teams for their efforts with
trophies.

At the drivers meeting someone was talking to my navigator and learned that
we were driving an RX-7 and I overheard the guy say, "...if you can get it
to start in the morning."  What!?  Let's show these pistonheads that they
not only start, but they win.  Being a 3rd Gen owner I can relate with the
Pantera guys, especially when their team captain makes this statement:
"'We, in Team Pantera, own crappy foreign cars with big american engines.
They're not that fast, they don't handle well, and we're always wrenching
to keep them working, but we love them."  From what I've seen, Panteras are
fast, and on the track I've seen them handle well, but they get absoluting
no respect.

I want the RX-7 list to take this event over in the spring.
