Hello -

The S/N on the red one is 5984, CA license 2WRR613. The speakers were in the
door. The rear deck had to be held up with a broomstick and the real bumper
was the one piece L version. The side mirrors were stuck to the wing
windows. Small air dam in the front. Mileage on the speedo is 31287. I think
$35K is way too much for that car (here we go; foot in mouth)!

Subject: Panteras 4 sale

In continuing our search for a car for George, we went to
Kassabian Motors. http://www.californiaclassics.com/
They had 4 cars last month, but someone I know, Bill Todd,
bought one, and another had sold also. There was then only
to Panteras, but also there was a Mangusta.

One Pantera, an "L", (#5901 ?), was white, and looked mostly stock.
It turns out to have a "Sale Pending", and thus I didn't give it much
review time. I was told it sold for $30,000, but this seemed high.

The other car was also an "L", the VIN I don't remember. George ?
(George had Shane Ingate's checklist, and dutifully recorded necessary
info on the cars we checked into on this trip.)
This car had the earlier front bumpers (parking light as part of the
bumperttte)
added. The red paint was, well....less than acceptable. There were the
usual
slight cracks around the rear tail lights, and the lower molding line
between the rear
panel (license plate panel) and the rear fender had been filled in. The
engine had
some work, according to the salesman, "it had LOTS of internal stuff."
(Don't they all say that ?) But there was a polished manifold, polished
valve covers
with red insets (Covers were the "top end dress up kit"). It had stainless
H2O bottles
and a chromed stock rear spreader bar. There were other enhancements I'll
remember after I get the photos developed. It had a Delta wing, and red
Simpson 4 point
belts (Dated 1994) that latched to a stock, but chromed, mount on the
outside, and the
top of the belts attached to the interior panel with a chrome box towards
the floor.
(I give this detail in case anyone knows this car.) It had a black
headliner also.
Gotti wheels of the 80's gold center style. I believe it had an Italian
radiator still, but
it looked thicker than mine. It had at least one SS water line, if not the
complete set.
The asking price was $35K. If anyone is interested I might remember more
details.
