Some of you may remember earlier this year I came up with and was going to
single handedly (with volunteer help) sponsor a Plaza parking lot BBQ on
arrival day (Thursday I thnk).  This was an opportunity to get together,
shoot the breeze and have some dinner as well as look at and oogle over all
the nice kittys.  Welllllll.... it didn't fly.

I'm not sure if you are aware or have different information than what I had
alredy discussed with Kent Snyder.  My last conversations with Kent about
having the BBQ on arrival day in the parking lot of the Plaza ended up in a
no-go.  The Plaza would require us to purchase all the food from them, as
well as probably rent equipment.  We would NOT be able to sell any
alcoholic beverages (if I remember correctly).  The whole idea originated
as a friendly get-together/tailgater, and Kent was kind enough to check
with the Plaza to find out how feasable that would be.  Basically would
they get miffed if we did it on our own.  Well, I guess they probably would
since Kent found out we could only do it if we purchased everthing from
them.  So I completely dropped the idea.

I had figured on just firing up a couple of BBQ's and running to the local
supermarket as we needed food or drink.  That idea didn't fly so I've put
it aside and as far as I know it will NOT be happening.  Unless of course,
Kent and Sandi have come up with an alternative and are putting it
together.  This I doubt, considering how much they have to work already to
put such a great gathering together.

So unless you know differently Shane, I don't think there is going to be a
BBQ in the Plaza parking lot.  If there is... I'd like to know more about
it as I'm sure others would too.  : )
