The driver/survivor was Vince Neil, lead yelper of Mötlëy Crüe. As I
recall the crash happened in 1984. Already drunk, Neil took the wheel of
his Pantera and buddy "Razzle" - from a Finnish or otherwise Scandinavian
glam band called Hanoi Rocks - rode shotgun on a beer run. Razzle died. I
believe they hit another car head-on, but can't remember the status of the
passengers in the other car. Believe Neil came close to (or possibly
served?) some jail time. I'd be curious to see pix of the Pantera. Was Neil
ever a member of POCA or PI (old roster owners care to look it up?).
BTW, one of "the Crue's" early LPs was called "Too Fast for Love." I don't
think they ever got around to recording "Too Drunk to Drive."
