Frank Jerome said a new racing facility is almost finished in the
Dallas-Ft. Worth area.  Called the "Motorsports Ranch", this is a
country club for auto racing enthusiasts.  

The 1.7 mile, 11-turn, mixed elevation road course will have a covered
grid (no sitting in the hot Texas sun waiting to race), club house,
restaurant, garages, etc.  He's seen the track, which is in with curbs
being finished now.  Apparantly people will buy club memberships and a
racing school (with various cars including 6 Cobra replicas) will be
located there.

The track will also be available for club events.  Frank said it has
great run-off areas for lots of safety and good visibility.  It is
about 20 miles south and west of Ft. Worth, but much closer than
Mineral Wells.

Anyone interested in a Texas Pantera event there when it's open?  I'll
check it out.
