The 1999 Nevada Open Road Race in Nevada is scheduled for May 13-16,
1999. If your interested in both national and international TV,
magazine and newspaper media coverage there is no better event to
feature your car. If you want a registration package or just wannna
watch or be a course worker call Bunny Hill at: 775-289-8261 (New
Number). . .Or E-mail her @ Bunny@idsely.com. . .If your registering to
race your car mention your "Team Pantera Racing/POCA" affiliation. If we
get 10 or more cars we get a 10% discount. For your information The
SSCC web site is www.phenry.com/sscc Check it out for registration, tech
rules, etc. If you have any questions regarding tech, tires or rules
please let me know.
Rookie driver's need to attend a SSCC Qualifying Session and driver's
school in Vegas on the Thursday before the event starts "unless" you
have an approved "waiver" from me. You can earn your waiver at any
sanctioned open track and/or driver's school prior to the scheduled
event. Keep in mind we have upcoming open track events with SDP at
Holtville Sunday, March 7th and the PCNC Pahrump Open track Friday.
April 23, 1999. I encourage you to attend one of these upcoming track
events.
If you are attending the SSCC qualifying session and driver's school in
Vegas you'll need to arrive at the Show Boat Hotel in Las Vegas on
thursday, May 13, 1999 as early as possible. Here are the hotel/motel
names, telephone numbers and dates:

Make these reservations ASAP. The Show Boat Hotel is the event sponsor
in Vegas and all the Team Pantera Racing guys try and stay at the
Holiday Inn in Ely. The majority of us will arrive in Ely on Friday.
There are obviously other hotels if you'd rather stay elsewhere but the
TPR team will be staying at the Holiday Inn. . .Make your reservations
early!
People, I need your support in May for this very visible event. I
expect as many as 40 individual Corvette competitors and other teams
from Viper, Cobra, Mustang, Porsche and Supra. We're a small team, we
got old cars and even some old driver's but we got a lotta heart and if
you have a stock, modified or full race Pantera we'd sure like you to
consider joining us. . .We can and should equal or exceed our old record
from May '98 but I need you there to make it happen.
Remember, you don't need to go fast to participate with the team and or
have a good time!
