When I asked the guy that works on by BMW if he knew anything about
Panteras he claimed that he onced owned a Mangusta that came from the
factory with a 427 side-oiler. I assumed he was just a little confused.
He did say that it was the only car he ever owned that really scared him.
I don't think a 302 would scare anyone that was used to driving
performance cars so maybe he was legit'.

All,
I've read that at least four Panteras were special-ordered from the
factory
with big-block motors, but for the life of me I can't remember where I
read
it!
At least one was a 427 side-oiler. Dunno about the rest. Could very
easily
have been a 429 Boss motor.
