Been thinking about Brock's lament on the unavailability of new BFG R-1 tires
in 225/50-15.  It seems to me you Silver Staters have two choices:

245/50-15 (if you're running 8-inch front rims) or 205/60-15 on 7 OR 8-inch
rims.

The 225/50 diameter is 23.8 inches, while both the 245/50 and 205/60 are 24.6
inches (according to BFG's data.)  Since the right height is increased by HALF
the diameter change, you're talking about a 4/10ths of an inch difference in
ride height (maybe even less in practical terms.)

The 225/50 tread width is 8.4 inches, while the 245/50 is 9.2, and the 205/60
is 8.9.

Anybody yet check on the availability of these tires?  I think the 205/60
sounds like a winner when matched with a 255/60 rear.
