Ahhh... That's my trick, too! That's also why I like mechanical 
secondaries. Run the car up in revs with your pedal just touching the 
secondaries (you can feel it, don't worry) and then casually ask them 
if they're ready. Whack the throttle the rest of the way to the floor 
and you can almost hear their neck cracking! And if mine is in low 
gear, I start leaving more damned Yokohama rubber on the road....

A definite, indelible impression is thereby left in their minds and 
with the exaggeration over time, your car will be _THE_ fastest 
transportation they've _ever_ ridden in!

Never mind bench racing... How about 'email racing'?
