The stock throttle bracket on the engine is also made of the usual melted-
coathangers the Italians try to call 'steel'. One can easily bend, twist or
recontour it with a pliers to fit the installation; it's almost as soft as
aluminum. I use a stock bracket with SVO alloy heads & Rousch intake, mounting
a Holley carb. A few non-stock bumps, bends & shims but it works fine. It's
also easy to inadvertently move the bracket when tightening the nut, which
changes the adjustment at the carb, and at least one engine lost a head gasket
from loosening the stud trying to "adjust" the bracket position by rotating
the whole assembly with a socket wrench. Cheers- J deRyke
