Lee,
On 15" rims I have used the BFG R1 255/50/15 rears with 225/50/15
fronts....and also the tall 255/60/15 rears with 225/60/15 fronts, didn't
like the set-up but did like the 225/50/15 fronts with the 255/60/15
rears.... and Mike Anerson has used 255/60/15 rears and 205/60/15 fronts
vintage R1's which he really liked.
Again, the vintage R1 sizes are still available from BFG directly (255/60/15
rears and 205/60/15 fronts)....but any other sizes will require the new
g-force tire. I've talked to five people so far comparing these tires and I
have yet to find one person who notices a decernable difference. Although I
understand the g-force is better constructed I am still in agreement with Tim
Tullio that mixing the R1 vintage R1 rear tire with the G-force front is not
a problem...
Again, I wouldn't hestitate to recommend the BFG R1's or the G-force....The
biggest thing to remember is not to wait until the last minute (like I
usually do) to order tires! :-)
