The OEM A/C was a piston-type compressor, with the cylinders pointing
horizontally out toward the rt quarter-panel and it definitely rumbled at
idle. It also shook the car sideways enough to cause car-sickness in some
people. The sound & feeling went away above idle. The 2K-rumble is different
IMHO and occurs in cars with no A/C. J DeRyke
