Hi guys,

A Ferrari-driving friend sent this to me the other day.  A super-technoid
mega-geek who works for Motorola runs the resource site for Front Wheel Drive
Chrysler Performance Cars (Dodge Shadow, Shelby Charger, etc.)  He conducted a
comprehensive analysis of all the oil filters currently on the market (or at
least available in his home town.)  His results are interesting, if for no
other reason than that they substantiate the well-known fact that Fram filters
are absolute junk.  What was surprising to me was learning that there are only
four filter manufacturers, and sometimes identical filters are sold under
different brand names, and with different prices.  The quality of oil filters
can vary dramatically, not always aligned with price.
