If I were a guessing man, I bet I know your problem. You have painted the
hood with modern Uerothane paint. The primer or previous paint was most
likely Enamel or Laquer. You cannot use the modern paints over that old
type paint. It will make the raised areas you mention. This has happened
to my car but odd enough it took a month to happen. If you like, call me

HELP!!
I am painting the hood to the Pantera. I have shot it twice now with the
same basic result. It is black. Here is what heppens:
First I sanded the entire hood with 400 grit on a air sander.
Did some spot and glas and sanded some more.
Degreasesd and painted but the catalyst was to hot and I got orange peel in
it.
Sanded the hood with 600 by hand.
Degreased and shot black again with the correct temp.
I got large spotes and what looks like giant ridges in certain areas.
other areas looked fine. Also I can still see the places where I used spot
and glaze over larger areas.
Should I used some type of primer on it?
WHAT SHOULD I Do? I an getting tired of sanded on this hood.
THANKS.
ALSO if anyone is an expert painter Leave your number and I would be happy
