hi all,

my gnu #2606 - '72 preL, has hedders, dunno the diameter, i can czech if it will
affect your answers.  everything else is basically stock, except for accel
electronic ign. & pantera air-cleaner ass'y.  still has (re-built) autolite
carb!!!  owner's manual sez 305hp (?!?)

what i wanna know is opinions on this set-up - i want something a little
punchier than what i got (which ain't bad!), but i still want a driver, nothing
too radical:

cam dynamics cam/lifter set, $190
-duration: 272 degrees
-duration @ 0.050: 216 degrees
-0.0524 lift
-110 degree centerline

edelbrock performer intake, $219

holley 725cfm, w/vacuum secondaries, $395

labor/misc gaskets/fluids/sealants/roller timing chain & gnu gears,  to
install/set-up: ~$1050

grand total: $1800, estimated 60hp gains, w/still excellent driveability.

so, any suggestions from the gurus for better
power/streetability/price/whatever?
