Be real careful of new Holleys (725 cfm?)- some are emissions carbs and are
not only set painfully lean, but are virtually untune-able and have no resale
value at all. I'd use an aftermarket 3310 Holley 750 vac-sec or a
custom-built Holley 700 from PPC. I'd also add a timing chain & the two
sprockets, using a roller chain rather than the silent-chain factory style.
By pulling the passenger seat and the rear bulkhead, the cam & timing chain
swap can be done comfortably seated cross-legged on the floor! Consider
changing the stock distributor to a Mallory or MSD type (have it set up on a
bench before adding it to the motor) Don't forget to add the MSD tach adapter
(extra cost) as most Pantera tachs won't work without it if you add an
electronic ignition. Thats enough until you get caught up.... Cheers- J
DeRyke.
