| Subject: | leaded fuel idle problem |

I thought I would pose a question that has plagued me since leaded fuel was
eliminated. I have essentially a Boss motor, 11to 1 compression, solid
lifter motor, closed chamber heads. It will run well with high octane
unlead, with a valve lubricant additive. But if I neglect to add the
additive for a couple of tanks it will loose enough rpm's at idle that it
won't keep running without keeping your foot on throttle. Obviously the
answer is keep adding the additive.
I guess I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Also are my valves
actually sticking open at idle without the additive that causes the engine
to loose its idle?
