Alan,
The threaded hole in the water pump should be pluged with a 3/8" pipe
plug, the threaded hole in the block is the correct location for the
water temperature sensor, the other two are the heater hose connections.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Water pump hose routing
The engine is in and everything hooked up except those darned pipes
going from/to the top of the water pump area.
I took pictures of everything else to hepl in reassembly but cannot find
one of this area with the hoses still on.
The pipes/holes that I need help knowing what attaches and where it goes
are; - The threaded hole on the upper left face of the water pump -
The 5/8 inc pipe exiting the top of the block vertically - The
approx 9/16? inch pipe exiting the upper left face of the water pump -
The threaded hole near the top of the block on the front face of the
block next to the water pump and to the left of and below the thermostat
housing. It is horizontal and this one is really foxing me. I am
almost certain that my old block did not have this and I consequently
attached the water temp sender to the water pump previously. It now
looks as though I should attach the sender to the block in this location
But if so what is the other threaded hole for on the water pump?
Confused in Houston
