| Subject: | Extra Quart of Oil. |

The bottom line to how much engine oil should be in the pan is the
amount needed to keep the input to the pump under oil. When a car is on a
race track, taking corners at high speed, the oil height is changing even in
baffled pans.
Higher RPMs also mean more oil is in the engine and less in the pan.
Fluctuating oil pressure is always noticed during cornering or after high
RPM running. How much does and extra quart of oil in the pan raise this
level? Does an extra quart maintain the correct height during hard
cornering and high RPM running?
