Almost had the engine back in the car today but the flywheel didn't fit. On
discussion with the machine shop I discover that they gave me back the wrong
one! (180 teeth and would not fit in the bellhousing). Before i drive
there and back tonight (2 hours) I want to be certain that the one they now
believe is mine is in fact the correct flywheel.
They have found what they think is my flywheel. It has 164 teeth which
checks out with my master parts catalogue. It apparently has the correct
bolt pattern (I'll take my pressue plate to be sure. It is externally
balanced.
Can any of the master mechanics out there give me any other distinguishing
characteristics and especially, can anyone confirm whether it should be
externally or internally balanced?
