In any other vehicle the way you placed the hoses is NORMAL!!

I just checked my manual and it seems to show the rad inlet is the bottom
tube, but there is nothing in the written description to back this up.

I would recommend your setup, even if it isn't stock, just so that it
conforms to how a normal radiator is supposed to work.

If there is someone who knows of a compelling reason not to use the top
inlet method, please let me know.(Possibly the placing of the fan
thermostats in the upper chamber has something to do with it, but I still
believe it would work better reversed)
