Around Oceanside, Kerry (Sparky) Shaw decides to start up his
barbeque early, with a burst of smoke from the back of his Pantera
which began erupting into flames two cars ahead of me.  Immediately
everyone pulls over, and we start running over with fire extinguishers.
Three of us got the fire put out, and boy did the sight of all the
Panteras parked at the side of the road stop traffic!

I going to put 2 extra fire extinguishers in my car now.  Keeping one 
in the interior, and one in each trunk.  Kerry said that his extinguisher 
seemed to put it out, then it just started right back up and he was out. 
He figured without the others being there (another great thing!), he 
may have lost it.  Time to put a Ford back in there Kerry!  :~)

The fire put a damper on things at first, but after Kerry showed up 
even the La Forza guys were impressed.  Me and my son Chris had a 
great time.  Bryan got a photo of me trying to tear Chris out of a 
Monster Miata.  He thought getting a Miata for a first car was easy 
than asking for a Pantera.  He still has over 2 years to find out what 
he will really get.
