Fellow Pantera Lovers,
As many of you may or may not know, I have left the world of Pantera
ownership. #3766 and I parted ways at 1pm on April 7, 1999.
I won't bog the list down with the details, suffice it to say the sale
involved a lengthy e-mail courtship. And I rest assured that the "P" has
found a very good and loving home. I know for a fact that she is receiving
the utmost in care and respect, befitting a beast of such fine stature. I'd
like to say I cried when we parted, but I am much too manly for such
outward displays of emotion. Let's just say it was a windy day and I had a
speck of dust in my eye.
Anyway, the list of people to thank for all their help and advice over
these past few years would be endless. But I would be remiss if I did not
acknowledge the following:
Mike Drew: Who I'll never forget for turning me on to #3766. (And who I'll
never forgive for NOT printing my wonderful, albeit long, article entitled,
"Hunting and Taming The Wild Panther.")
Jack DeRyke: Newbies take note. Print out whatever Jack says, take it to
your car, and do it. He's always right. And he always knows how to make it
faster, easier and just plain better.
Dennis "Mad Dog" Antenucci: Yo, his peeps! He's your big, bad ass teddy
bear of a prez. And probably our biggest cheerleader out there.
Mike Cook and Billy: Panteras by Cook was and is the only place I'll trust
with a Pantera. When times were tough financially, they took care of me.
You won't find two kinder or more trust-worthy souls in the business.
They're the reason why I'd drive 2 hours just for a stinkin' oil change!
(That and there's a rockin' greasy spoon of a breakfast place at the
off-ramp to their place!)
If I forgot to mention anyone, please e-mail me off the list as I will be
unsubscribing shortly. I will make one final post after I get my new e-mail
address. (I am getting DSL, but that's another story.)
Take care everyone. It's been one helluva ride!
Nobbie Kim
P.S. As the subject line indicates, this is not goodbye. As soon as
financially possible, I will be rejoining the ranks. I hope you're all here
when I return!
