[Yeah I truly know what you mean. Last July I discovered a like bunch of
sickies sucking up the brewskys at 94th Aero Squadron Sunday after the
Van Nuys Air show. The f-15 and f-16 departures are the most radical
thing I have e-ver personally witnessed. The alleged excuses for such
excesses with the taxpayers equipment was that Van Nuys is a shorter
strip than the jockeys are accustomed to. Another witness said the 90
degree ascent was for noise abatement... Don't get me wrong, I love the
sound of the merlin, and the griffin, and the 3350 in full song at take
off power, but I will nev-er miss another Post Van Nuys air show
departure of those ANG guys.]
