At the POCA chapter meeting of "Capitol Panteras" last night
we finally wrestled with the name change as we regionally
cover area far outside of Sacramento.    Since PCNC was taken
(although generally south of us) and only the Cally boys would
appreciate our choosing PCWNC  (Pantera Club of WAY! Northern
California...)

We tried to focus on the area we are from.  Which, amongst
other things, is this huge Valley we live in and its 49er
heritage (NO, not the football team.... the guys the football
team are named for).  In the end it was narrowed down to a few
choices which included "Fondo Valle" (Italian for Valley
Floor) and our eventual choice and new chapter name:

"Terra di Oro Panteras"
or in short,  TdOPanteras

Its Italian for "Land of Gold"

Chapter Prez Joe Lobou will be formalizing this name change
and within the next couple of weeks we will have a new chapter
logo ready as well.    So now we don't feel as though we will
be alienating our many friends, members and guests who are not
actually from Sacramento, but can now welcome Panterites who
hail from this entire "Gold Rush" region.
