I know this guy.  A company I used to work with was helping him get FAA
cert on the skycar.  He has been working on that thing for over 10
years, and a skycar has never flown.  He did make a spacecraft looking
thing using the aerobot engines;  I think it only hovered.  He works out
of Davis, CA.  He holds the patent on a motorcycle muffler that make him
a lot of money, then he dumps in into the skycar.  It could be a cool
vehicle someday but don't write a check just yet.
