Subject:This isn't going according to plan....

About a week ago I received the now-famous dual sucker fan I ordered
from Summit Racing to try to deal with my overheating in traffic problem.
I brought it to the local Ferrari dealer to have them install, flip the tubes
and brackets around to allow a sucker-configuration, and do whatever
else they had to do. I just got off the phone with them and they report
that it still runs hot, and gets there pretty quickly. Sounds like my problem
is not solved. It ran perfectly at a good temp while rolling, but when I sit
it would get hot, so it seemed normal that this is because the 27 year
old fans are tired. It had been verified that they were turning way too slowly.

So this afternoon I will head over and go through the various steps. The
mechanic insists he has bled the thing a zillion times, jacked the front and
the back, rebled it. He asked about the thermostat, but that only has 2500
miles on it, if that. New water pump also. So I'll go look at it, see if it really
is hot (I have my imported meat thermometer) and with a 230 degree
temp gauge, he could think it is hot when in fact it is not. We'll see.

While i am posting, where is the idle control screw on a Holley 650DP? It
was idling about 1400 rpm when warm, which is obviously higher
than need be.

Thanks, and I'll keep everyone posted.
