To the Engine Gurus:

I just got back from making 3 pulls on a Dynojet in Rohnert Park.  All 3 
pulls were within 5 hp of each other.  Peak HP was 297 at 5,250.  It 
immediately dropped off to 277 by 5500, but then back up to 297 by 5750 (same 
drop on all pulls).

Why would I get this drop in this rpm range?  The guy at the dyno said it 
could be valve float, didn't sound like that to me.  Any suggestions?  

Carb is a Holley 1850 600 cfm vac sec.  He said I could easily get another 20 
HP by switching to a 650 double pumper.  Does that sound right.

PS.  I just got a GTech like Chuck so I'll let y'all know how the numbers 
compare to the dyno.
