That would be our insidious, underhanded, corrupt, and otherwise
nuisancesome Maryland State Police mentioned in that story. The same cops
who are famous for having mounted a radar gun on a mowing tractor in the
grass in the middle of I-95 years ago. The same cops who have (in the last
few years) painted all of their so-called "marked" crown vics dark green and
brown to better hide behind that bush and catch us terrible, horrible,
speeders (er, hardened criminals). Can't find a cop when you need one?
That's because you can't see their damned cars!
I sure am glad they don't have anything important to do like catch *real*
criminals... you know, the kind with victims.
I've been pulled over by a Maryland Statie for "not speeding". I've been
pulled over by a Md Statie for driving around a huge pothole (without
leaving my lane). They're tireless in their, ahem, enforcement...
