(not quite as hot as MADDOG) Just a note about the
true reliability of the P beast...Entered my 74L into
a charity "shine and show" two weekends ago in PHOENIX.
Left my house at 4PM, and the outside temp was 109. The
temp at the show (25 miles away) was 112! Despite the
a/c blowing warm air (I wanted to see what would happen), the car did
not spontaneously
combust. In fact, there was no overheating. Don't
get me wrong, it ran hotter than usual, but I had
no problems. All this with a stock radiator and fans. Go figure. The
car was a hit at the show. Many usual questions, But I did learn
something new from a Pantera expert ??? ...I was informed that the
original name for the Pantera was a mangusta (right), and that Lee
Iacoca thought that name was too wussy???, and wanted a name with more
balls, so he named it after a hard rock band called Pantera. OBVIOUSLY,
the heat
had gotten to this guy. (nice tatoo and nipple ring though)
